Joseph O'Brien (22 December 2025): "Solness had a brilliant campaign last season and had a well-earned break during the summer. The plan is to defend his crown in the Paddy's Rewards Club Chase at Leopardstown and while we haven’t got a run into him this season, we feel he is in great shape. The better the ground, the better his chance."

Joseph O'Brien (11 February 2025): "He has been a star this season and is all guns blazing for the Queen Mother Champion Chase. He has produced two career-best efforts in succession and seems to be in a great place. An aggressive ride seems to suit him well and I thought he put in a consistently sharp round of jumping last time which was great to see as he hasn’t always been the most consistent jumper. He’s one that wouldn’t want too much rain. We’ll see if they want to follow him at Cheltenham, but if they do, they’ll have to go hard to stay on his tail."

Joseph O'Brien (23 December 2024): "He’s an intended runner in the Paddy’s Rewards Club Chase on Friday. The ground went softer than ideal for him in the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown, but I thought he ran well in a race that didn’t really go his way. The ground promises to be drier at Leopardstown and he seems to be in the form of his life, so we’ll have a go and see how he runs."
