A Group 2 that gave solidity to the form of the three-year-old milers, the winner having been behind Bow Echo and Gstaad on recent starts and beating his elders well here. The pace was strong, the overall time 3.75 seconds faster than the maiden over the same trip earlier on the card.
POWER BLUE has a fine record at this track, his form figures here now reading:132141, and he was well-backed against older rivals here. Tracking a decent pace set by Audience, he hit the front inside the final furlong and was well on top at the line. The City of York is his next intended target, though that looks like a hot renewal this year.
BIG GOSSEY ran his typical game race at this track, meeting some trouble early in the race and having to come from last, tactics that are not usually his thing. He will have easier options through the rest of the season.
AUDIENCE backed up a decent run in the Ballycorus, travelling well in the lead and only worn down late.
